MicroCollect™ Sterile Fecal Collection Containers are designed to provide a high-quality, convenient solution for collection and transport of excreta. These products are sterilized by ethylene oxide gas, and packaged separately. MicroCollect™ Sterile Fecal Collection Containers include a screw cap with or without an attached spoon. Containers with spoon are used for collecting stool, and containers without spoon are designed for urine collection. The cap features the screw design, with the excellent sealing performance, so that the fecal sample is protected from pollution during transportation. The bottle has a white label for writing sample information, and the writing content is not easily erased. They are made of polystyrene (PS) or opaque polypropylene (PP), and are hard to break.
The fecal sample can be used to screen for disease, such as cancer, chronic kidney disease, diabetes, and detect infections caused by parasites, viruses, or bacteria, and intestinal malabsorption. This product is particularly suitable for microbial recovery. Superior DNA can be isolated for molecular analysis, such as 16S/18S/ITS sequencing and metagenomics sequencing.
Each MicroCollect™ Sterile Fecal Collection Container includes the following sections: (1) a container, (2) a screw cap, (3) probably an attached spoon. The instructions for use are as follows:
