Animal and plant whole genome sequencing provides a comprehensive review of plant and animal genomic DNA sequences, and the marker loci obtained can be used to analyze data at the individual, or population, level to help better analyze other variants of the genome, which is essential for improving plant and animal species and promoting agricultural development.
CD Genomics provides animal whole genome sequencing, based on whole genome sequencing data to analyze the whole genome of agricultural and livestock animals, and effectively discover genomic variant loci, combined with whole genome sequencing data, we provide animal genetic evaluation and indicate the direction for the development of rational breeding strategies. This further provides a basis for agricultural animal breeding. So far, we have completed whole genome sequencing of nearly dozens of species such as beef cattle, pigs, chickens, honey bees, antelopes, camels, etc, which have helped our clients to improve animal breeding and generated great economic value.
CD Genomics provides whole genome sequencing for plant species with genomes >1 GB or highly repetitive genomes, such as maize and hexaploid wheat, based on an advanced sequencing platform and an experienced sequencing technology team. maize and hexaploid wheat, helping researchers to obtain large repetitive plant genome sequences and providing economically viable whole-genome sequencing solutions. So far, we have completed whole genome sequencing of dozens of plant species such as rice, cucumber, pepper, soybean, orchid. Our plant whole genome sequencing has successfully helped our clients to understand the evolution of plant species as well as gene function analysis.
T-DNA is a DNA sequence in Agrobacterium Ti plasmid that can be transferred from Agrobacterium and stably integrated into the plant nuclear genome. Through the modification of Ti plasmid, target genes can be inserted into the modified T-DNA region, and the transfer and integration of exogenous genes into the plant genome can be realized with the help of Agrobacterium infection, to obtain transgenic materials to be used in breeding. The integration of T-DNA on the genome is a stochastic process with no obvious preference.
Based on our in-house plant genome sequencing platform, CD Genomics has developed a high-throughput, low-cost, and accurate T-DNA insertion identification service, which can accurately detect the insertion position and direction of each sample, and help you to carry out the subsequent establishment of mutant libraries, gene function studies, and transgenic breeding research.

The genomic landscape of both animal and plant species is highly diverse, with genome sizes spanning from tens of megabases to hundreds of gigabases. Notably, plant genomes often exhibit complex features such as high heterozygosity, extensive repetitive sequences, and intricate polyploid characteristics. This is where CD Genomics excels, offering a comprehensive range of cutting-edge sequencing platforms, including Sanger sequencing, NGS technologies (Illumina and MGI), as well as long-read sequencing platforms (PacBio SMRT and Nanopore Sequencing). We provide a fully integrated professional service that spans from sample selection and processing to advanced bioinformatics data analysis.
Our services encompass a wide array of genomics solutions, including high-complexity de novo assembly of animal and plant genomes, species-specific genome data mining, genetic evolution analysis, candidate gene identification for crucial traits, and support for animal and plant breeding research.
Animal and Plant De Novo Sequencing
Our de novo sequencing capabilities enable the thorough exploration of a specific species without reliance on pre-existing reference sequences. Through advanced bioinformatics techniques, we perform sequence assembly and annotation to deliver a comprehensive genomic blueprint for your species of interest.
Animal and Plant Genome Re-sequencing
In the context of animal and plant species with established reference genomes, our re-sequencing services facilitate the examination of different individuals within the population. This approach empowers differential analysis to identify genetic variations associated with essential traits, supports genetic evolution investigations, and predicts candidate genes for key traits. It's a valuable resource for businesses and researchers alike seeking to leverage genomics for their projects and endeavors.
