CD Universal Blocking Oligo Kit For Illumina is a single reagent intended to optimize on-target performance by lessening adapter-to-adapter hybridization in hybridization capture-based target enrichment experiments using Illumina dual- or single-indexed adapters. In comparison to experiments without blocking oligos, incorporation of blocking oligos in the hybridization step prevents adapter-adapter binding and increases on-target mapped reads. Since this kit eliminates the need to match individual blocking oligos to specific adapter sequences, it allows for a more efficient workflow.
Application:
Blocking free adapters from the library pool by Blocking Oligo can reduce index hopping rates and the possibility of misalignment, which can be used to prevent adapter-adapter binding and increase the on-target mapped reads.

All the components should be stored at -20℃.

- Centrifuge tubes before opening. Some of the product may have been dislodged during shipping.
- Resuspend CD Universal Blocking Oligos to 1μL/reaction. The volume of the solution added is according to the product size of the kit.
- Mix thoroughly by pipetting up and down several times. Centrifuge briefly to collect all the resuspended material at the bottom of the tube. Note: Store resuspended oligos at –20°C.
