| Product Description: | Entamoeba histolytica is a protozoan that can cause intestinal amebiasis as well as extraintestinal manifestations. It is estimated that approximately 100,000 deaths occur each year due to E. histolytica infections and it is the third leading cause of death due to parasitic infections. Most people infected with Endamoeba are colonized by E. histolytica or E. dispar. PCR has high sensitivity in the identification of E. histolytica. CD Entamoeba histolytica (ITS) Real-time PCR Kit can be used to detect E. histolytica in the sample based on probe-based real-time PCR technology. The primer sequences were designed according to the ITS of E. histolytica provided by the database. For research use only. |
