Metagenomics, the sequencing of total DNA of multiple microorganisms present in environmental samples, which often contain complex microbial communities. Metagenomic sequencing allows the study of microbial communities by sequencing selected genes without the need for culture. Metagenomic sequencing technology plays an important role in resolving the community structure, species composition, phylogeny, gene function and metabolic networks of environmental microorganisms. The technology holds significant promise for application in the field of plant and animal research.
CD Genomics helps researchers to discover the role of microorganisms in the digestive system of the animal gastrointestinal tract, and the genes in the animal genome that are mainly enriched in the metabolic pathways of the organism, to understand the species composition and functional genes in samples, microbial-plant interactions, to guide agricultural tillage, and to study fertilization treatments and soil microbial community, species diversity, etc.
In animal research. To elucidate the distribution of animal intestinal microflora, dominant genera and differential flora in different gastrointestinal sites, and provide technical and theoretical support for exploring animal digestion mechanism, intestinal flora-host relationship, intestinal disease control and prevention, healthy breeding, and feed formulation development.
In plant research. To explore the huge microbial resources in inter-root soils and reveal important regulatory mechanisms, such as soil nutrient cycling and root-microbe interactions.
DNA samples should be stored at -20°C and marked with the specific concentration, volume, preparation time, and solvent name of the DNA samples. Please also attach QC data including electrophoresis gel chart, spectrophotometry. Place the sample in a 1.5 mL tube before delivery, note the information and seal it. It is recommended to use dry ice for transportation to reduce the degradation of the sample during transportation, and the sample requirements are as follows.
Nature of sample | Concentration | Quantity | OD |
---|---|---|---|
Genomic DNA | 20 ng/μL | 500 ng | 260/280 ratio of 1.8 - 2.0 |
