Genotyping by sequencing (GBS), as a method to simplify genome sequencing, is used to screen for single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in a variety of plant and animal species and populations, using phenotype-related SNPs to aid genomic selection and improvement of plant and animal species, and has important applications in the genomics-assisted breeding process. The addition of high density SNP markers to genetic maps or breeding populations through GBS is valuable in advancing genetic breeding research in plants and animals.
CD Geomics offers GBS to help researchers conduct cost-effective, high-throughput genotyping studies for larger plant and animal populations, advancing the breeding of agricultural plants and animals, saving time and costs in the improvement of agricultural plant and animal varieties, and providing GBS services to help breeders select genomes for new germplasm or species, determine genomic or diversity in population structure species, and help researchers better understand the relationship between genetic factors and phenotype production in plants and animals.

CD Genomics provides comprehensive target genotyping services, and we have extensive experience in sequencing services for targeted genotyping of plants and animals. To date, we have successfully provided genotyping services for dozens of species such as maize, barley, rice and fish, providing additional genetic data for hybrid selection of these species through analysis of their genetic structure and their hybrid offspring.
