2b-RAD technology refers to a simplified genome sequencing technique based on type IIB restriction endonucleases. By performing high-throughput sequencing of the tag generated by type IIB endonuclease digestion of the genome, genome complexity can be significantly reduced while allowing rapid genome-wide development and typing of large-scale SNP markers regardless of the presence or absence of a reference genome.
CD Genomics provides high quality 2b-RAD services, which have been recognized by the industry and researchers for their reproducibility, full library sequencing, uniform sequencing depth and tag independence, which have greatly helped researchers to better develop and type genome-wide SNP markers in plants and animals.
Species | Samples to be tested are diploid organisms, not available for polyploid species at this time |
---|---|
Sample requirements | 1.0 µg of sample per sample preparation, or if multiple sample preparations are required, the total amount of sample required = number of sample preparations x 1.0 µg |
Sample DNA concentration | >25 ng / μL |
Sample background | Clear kinship between mapping groups, with ≥ 100 offspring tested |
